Who we are

Catastrophe Fostering Service is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming felines in crisis, while promoting sterilization, humane treatment, and animal education for our communities.

We are a small, family operated non-profit based out of Chowchilla, California. We started fostering kittens with the local county shelter when a litter of kittens was dumped off at a local lake and friends who knew we loved cats reached out. Slowly, more and more cats moved through our house, and it became clear that we could be making a bigger impact within our community for felines, so Catastrophe Fostering Service was born.

Catastrophe tends to specialize in newborn and young kittens up to a year, but we will house our fosters until they reach their furever families, however long that takes. As we are still operating from our home, we have a very small limit on how many fosters we can host at a time. However, we continue to assist the county as needed, trap and release a few ferals per month, and continue our community messaging of sterilization and humane treatment for felines.

We are currently growing our personal and professional connections as we’re fresh to the official non-profit game. If you’d like to get involved, donate, or partner with us, please reach out and say hello!
